Striving to establish a new design language to reflect contemporary African life, the detritus of modern industry, inspired by the purchase of a second-hand car, is revitalised into a bold sculpture that uses the vernacular of furniture. Part documentation, intervention and archive, this piece shines a light on the ever-oscillating value and life cycles of materials linked to mass-production.
