Sunyi Shin (Sunny)
'Embracing Lotus'
This piece fuses kitchenware with the sacred lotus flower, with life seemingly sprouting from each dish. The chiselled patterns of round flower petals are symbols of peace and happiness, modernising the lotus’ traditional representation. Ott lacquer is added to enhance the silver inlay and prevent oxidisation. Strikingly modern, the piece propels ancient emblems and daily rituals into innovative ground.
